With no cooking required, simply mix the ingredients and let them sit in a jar with a lid in the fridge to soak overnight for a grab and go breakfast the next day. They will soak and become thick and creamy.

This overnight oats with frozen fruit is vegan and dairy-free. Use gluten-free rolled oats if you prefer.

If you are not a fan of cold oats, you may warm them in a microwave and turn them into warm porridge.

You may serve it as a sweet breakfast, snack, or dessert with almond milk tea.

Ingredients

  • Oats. I used rolled oats to achieve the best consistency. If you use quick oats make sure to consume it within one day since it gets mushy fast. Steel-cut oats will take a very long time to soak the liquid and still might be chewy.
  • Milk. Helps to soften the oats. I used almond milk which is a plant-based non-dairy milk. It has a delicious nutty flavor to it. Use any other milk you like the best. Water works too.
  • Yogurt. Adds creaminess and protein to it and makes it more filling. Any vegan yogurt (plant-based yogurt) works. Pick the one you prefer the most.
  • Frozen fruits. Adds lots of flavor and color to the oat. I used frozen mixed berries (raspberry, blueberry, blackberry, strawberry). Any other juicy fresh or frozen fruits work.
  • Agave nectar. To sweeten up the oat. Customize the type and amount to your liking.
  • Salt. Helps to bring out more flavor.
  • Garnish. I used some pumpkin seeds, and walnut, and gave nectar. Other seeds or nuts work too.
