When the summer is here, you know watermelons are piled up in the grocery store for you to take them home. So do yourself the best favor and make a quick watermelon salad for all to enjoy. Not only it is quick and easy to make, but it is also so refreshing, delicious, and with so many beneficial nutrients.
So, you come home after a hot day of grocery shopping and packing and unpacking all the groceries. First, let the watermelon chill in the fridge while taking a cool shower.
Then let the bread toast or broil in the oven (read more below in the post) and prepare the ingredients. You could skip the bread too!
Cut the watermelons into cubes (eat some while doing so!) and put them back in the fridge to chill them further. Then prepare the avocado and feta cheese by cutting them into small cubes and chopping the walnuts. If you have cucumber and mint on hand, toss them in!
When the toasted bread is cooled, you are ready to serve the watermelon salad. Mix all the ingredients gently together and serve them right away and see everyone smile!
How to pick the best watermelon
And here are tips how to pick the best watermelon: Pick the round one; The one with the yellow patch (not white) on one side; The one that feels heavy to its size. Ultimately, the one that has about two finger spaces between light and dark green strips. Also, make sure watermelon stem is brown.
Ingredients
