8ouncesof skinless chicken breast cut into small pieces
1/2tsp.Onion powder
1/2tsp.Garlic powder
1tbs.Lemon juice
1tbs.Yogurt
1/4tsp.turmeric
1/4tsp.baking soda
1tsp.Oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Cut chicken breast into small chunky pieces.
Place them into a bowl and add onion powder, garlic powder, lemon juice, yogurt, turmeric, salt, and pepper.
Incorporate and mix them well with chicken.
Optional. Wrap the bowl with plastic wrap and place it in the fridge for a few hours to build flavor.
When ready to broil them, add baking soda and oil to the chicken and mix. Let them sit for 5 minutes, then broil them in the oven.
Then, relocate the oven rack to the second indent to be close to the open fire and oven broil.
Turn on the oven broil to high and let the oven and sheet pan warm up. I used a cast iron sheet pan as it sears the chicken fast and keeps it very juicy.
Place the marinated chicken pieces on the preheated greased sheet pan and place it in the oven.
Close the oven door and let the chicken broil in the oven for about 8 minutes or until golden and browned on top and bottom. Make sure not to overcook them.
Let it rest for a few minutes. Sprinkle some salt, drizzle some oil, and serve it hot with fresh lemon juice and ENJOY!
I served it with a fresh salad!
Notes
I used a well-preheated, greased cast iron sheet pan which helped both sides of the chicken breast pieces to get grilled without a need to turn them around.
If you are not using cast iron cookware, you may need to turn them around halfway for both sides to get a grill mark.
You may use skewers to broil them in the oven or grill them outside.
Bone in chicken breast adds lots of flavors to the dish.
