Spaghetti Alla Puttanesca

A tasty Italian recipe using spaghetti with a tomato based sauce, including olives, capers and chilli (optional).

2 tbsp of olive oil
1 can of plum tomatoes chopped
½ small onion finely chopped
2 cloves of garlic finely sliced
3 anchovies chopped
2 tbsp of capers
2 tbsp of chopped black olives
2 tbsp of chopped parsley
1 large pinch of dried chilli
200g of dried spaghetti
2 tbsp of grated parmesan


In the olive oil sweat the onion, garlic, anchovies and chilli.  Add the olives, capers and tomatoes.  Cook for 10 minutes and add the parsley.

Cook the spaghetti for 8 minutes and toss with the sauce and drizzle with a little olive oil.

Serve with some grated parmesan.
