Ferrero Rocher-ish Chocolates

A recipe to make your own scrumptious chocolates – these make a great Christmas or ‘thank you’ present.

1 x pack cooking chocolate buttons (or a block, crumbled)

1 x small jar ‘Nutella’

1 x small pack of chopped nuts

20g copha (approx 1 tablespoon)
You will need two ice cube trays.
In the microwave, melt the chocolate with the copha (usually takes about 1 minute on ‘high’, but varies according to microwave – just be careful not to burn the chocoate, which can happen very quickly).  Chocolate needs to be soft and able to be stirred.

Using a teaspoon, spoon chocolate into ice cube trays (about half-full).

Add 1/2 a teaspoonful of ‘Nutella’ to each cube (on top of chocolate), then add another teaspoonful of chocolate on top, to give three layers.

Sprinkle chopped nuts on top and put into the freezer for 10-15 minutes.
Other variations include:

*  putting some chopped nuts on the bottom of each cube.

*  adding some liqueur to the chocolate mixture.

*  sprinkling some dessicated coconut on the top of the chocolates.

*  adding a cherry to the centre of the chocolates.
